Alisha & Ryan, Wedding at Baylor Chapel and Reception at The Sheraton Read House, Chattanooga, TN Photographed by Liz Power Photography

The Armstrong family has every reason to be proud of Ryan. He is a friendly, personable young man who knows how to make good decisions. No doubt one of the best decisions he has made is to marry Alisha. My husband, Terry, likes to quote that a happy marriage is where each one thinks they got the better of the deal. These two should have a happy marriage.

I love the architecture on this high school campus. Here is the gorgeous Alisha posed in one of the archways.

The Sheraton Read House has several rooms to host receptions but the Silver Ballroom may be the most elegant.

A fun ride in a horse drawn carriage, well-wishers waving from the balcony, two beautiful people very much in love. Life is good!

Congratulations to Alisha and Ryan and God Bless!

I hope all of the Boston Red Sox fans get to see a repeat from last year (Ryan is from Boston). Those Rays are tough.

By the way, when you view the slideshow will you take special note of the floral arrangements by our good friend Amanda Williams of Divine Designs. Also we are always excited to work with Soundforce and to get to see our friend Heath. On another note, the cakes were by another good friend, Kimmie Garner, from Kimmies. She is such an excellent cake maker. We really love her cakes. And the elegant settings of the linens is from our friends at the White Table.

I hope I am not leaving anyone out of this list because one of the things that makes our job so enjoyable is the wonderful people we get to meet and work with.

Sharon & Garth, Wedding at 2nd Presbyterian Church and Reception at the Sheraton Read House

The wedding took place at the historic and beautiful 2nd Presbyterian Church.

Photobucket

I really love silhouettes and the architecture at this church is spectacular.

Photobucket

Here is the very lovely Sharon.

Photobucket

I love the ring shots, too!

Photobucket

It was just a short walk from the church to the Sheraton Read House for the reception. That's the Tallen Building in the background.

The Read House is a wonderful, historic Chattanooga treasure. The lobby area is so beautiful and the red sofa adds some romance to the scene.

The Silver Ballroom.

Now this is the story I have been waiting to tell. Virginia Military Institute is the groom's alma mater. Here are some of his classmates holding up the bride. That's Sharon's dad standing on the left. He, too, is a VMI graduate. So, for Garth to meet Sharon in the first place VMI is the connection. Sharon spotted a lady on the UTC campus in a VMI sweatshirt. It was Garth's mom. Sharon said, "My Dad graduated from VMI." Garth's mom went home and told her son, there is this girl he really needed to meet. And the rest of the story you see here in these pictures.

June and Scott, Tivoli Theater, Chattanooga, TN, Wedding, April 20, 2008

June and Scott had a beautiful ceremony at the historic Tivoli Theater.

Lots of kisses.

I really love this picture of the lovely June.

Two of the flower girls enthralled by the horse and carriage.

Before going to the reception at the Sheraton Read House, we went to the old Chattanooga courthouse for some special pictures and this is one of my favorites.

Before you check out the slideshow, we wanted to say once again what a privilege it is to work with so many fine wedding professionals. Taylor from Soirees is tremendously talented and efficient. Helen from Humphreys Flowers is a longtime friend and it is always a pleasure to work alongside her. We have continuously recommended Shane from Life Productions for videography. He is extremely gifted and very talented. And our good friend, Phillip, from Sound Force, continues to amaze us with his creativity and business expertise. I know Sibyl from The Sugar Shop made the deliciously beautiful cakes and we always enjoy hearing The Forte Strings play. I'm sorry I couldn't find a website to link for them.

Congratulations to Scott and June. PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR YOUR SLIDESHOW.

Christina & Joe, Patten Chapel Wedding, Sheraton Read House Reception, September 15, 2007

Congratulations Christina and Joe! Keith and I are so glad we got to be a part of your big day. Your wedding was so incredibly beautiful and unique, that I must have a very long post dedicated to it.

Here is the slideshow! (Again, it's a long slideshow b/c your wedding was just awesome)

Here are several favorites. I chose a lot not only b/c it was hard to narrow it down, but also I wanted to show a full variety. I want everyone to see the different kinds of shots we get on a wedding day, whether it be candid, posed, emotion-filled close-ups, or full-landscape artistic images.

Candid coming off the trolley:

Close-up (And beautiful! Christina is one stunning bride.)

Landscape/Artistic: The wedding could not have been on a more beautiful day.

Walking with her dad into Patten Chapel. I love this perspective from behind the doors.

A Closeup/Candid of them leaving the chapel. I love the movement in it.

Artistic Shot: This lighting was incredible.

And I'm pretty much in love with this shot. The water behind them is amazing.

Fun Bridal Party Stuff:

Another one I'm obsessed with. The movement around the Trolley is so cool.

Loved this one of them with this beautiful backdrop.

Newspaper Close-up!

Sweet Close-up during their first dance.

The room at the Read House looked incredible. The lighting in the room was red & orange (Joe is Egyptian and much of the decor was in that theme!) and I loved these where the Videographer's light highlighted Christina. The bride should always be spotlit like this.

Heidi & Dustin, Wedding, September 1, 2007

Before Dustin finished his nursing degree at UT Knoxville, he attended UT Chattanooga and proposed to Heidi at the Stone Fort Inn. Then, as the wedding plans were being discussed, Chattanooga seemed like the perfect location for their wedding. They chose two of the nicest and seemingly most popular locations: Patten Chapel and the Sheraton Read House.
