Lindsey and Joseph, Wedding at the Grandview, Lookout Mountain, GA

Hands, by Bruce Alan Humphrey

"Remarkable hands, storied hands.
Hands, hands can build.
Hands can mold, shape, and speak.
Hands can grasp for the heavens, touch it and believe in the make believers."

Somehow, when I saw this picture, I thought of a poem I had either heard or read. You just know the hands in this picture are special.

This is the love story and wedding day for Lindsey and Joseph.

What a beautiful day and glorious wedding. I am positive everyone had a wonderful time and it was a very blessed event.

Lindsey has one of those delightful, joyful personalities and is a pleasure to be around. She seemed to enjoy every moment of her special day.

One final thought is to recognize all of our fellow wedding vendors and the outstanding job they did to make Lindsey's wedding so beautiful. Taylor Monen from Soirees is remarkable and very, very good at coordinating weddings. She makes our job so much easier. Morgan Wilder did the linens and you can see from the pictures they add so much to the wedding.

The wedding dress and tuxedos came from Monica's Bridal.

The extraordinary music from the ceremony was by the Adonia Trio and at the reception by Gwen Hughes.

Our friend, Bob Venable, was the videographer. And another friend, Dan Carey, once again baked delicious wedding cakes. We love his cakes!

Jim O'Dell, another longtime friend, had beautiful flowers and arrangements. Check out his new websites.

One more thought and that is to recognize the outstanding job Dr. William Dudley from Signal Mountain Presbyterian did at the ceremony. A true worship experience. God Bless!

Shannon and Rik, Engagement, June 17, 2008

Shannon is a Chickamauga, Georgia girl who came to Chattanooga to work at Unum. During training she met Rik.

It wasn't until three years later and a lot of changes that Rik felt he could freely ask Shannon for a date. In fact Shannon added, "we actually didn't like each other at all for awhile. He thought I was cute but snooty." But once you see this adorable and affectionate couple together you can see that those first impressions have definitely changed. They really seem to be a perfect match.

Both of them are witty and fun to be around and we thoroughly enjoyed taking their engagement pictures. The Bluff View Art District in downtown Chattanooga is a romantic, picturesque location. They charge a fee to allow professional photographers to use the area but as you can see from the slideshow (CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE SLIDESHOW), it is well worth the investment.

Here is a good example of the area. This is next to Rembrandt's, an excellent coffee shop.

We call this location "hints of Boston." It has that New England kind of feel to it.

We really love the vine covered wall and leaning against it are our new friends, Shannon and Rik.

God Bless and we are looking forward to the October 18, 2008 wedding!

Holly and Brad, Chattanooga farewell

Our community is such a great community and we love getting to know many of the doctors and nurses who come to Erlanger Hospital for their residency. Dr. Brad Campbell and his beautiful wife, Holly, have finished their time in our city and are moving back to their hometown of Charleston, SC. Holly thought it would be fun to have some pictures of their family before they move and we had a blast taking their pictures.

Here are some of the favorites:

The first one includes Oliver, a very lively and friendly cocker spaniel.

Laura & Steven's Engagement

When Laura scheduled to do engagement pictures at the cabin that Steven built by himself, I had a hunch it would be beautiful. And I was right! They built it to sell it (here's the listing!) and I don't doubt it will get snatched up fast. It is awesome. It sits on some beautiful property that is right up the mountain in Dunlap, TN.

On another note, Laura and Steven are one sweet couple and they are going to be married at the Fairyland Club in September. Keith and I can't wait for the wedding!

Crissy & Justin, 1st Cumberland Presbyterian Wedding, Chattanooga Golf and Country Club Reception

Congratulations Crissy & Justin! Terry and I are so honored to get to be a part of your big day. Y'all are just such a special and sweet couple and we have enjoyed getting to know you both so much. We couldn't be happier for you.

This was a beautiful event starting at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and ending at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. Also, Amanda from Divine Designs did a wonderful job with the flowers. Without a doubt, Pam Newberry is one sharp lady and did an extraordinary job of directing the wedding.

Here is your slideshow.

Tara and Chip are bride and groom from December 2005 and we were thrilled to see them and their baby girl.

Ivey & Tom, Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Wedding

Congratulations Ivey & Tom! Keith and I are so happy we got to be a part of your day. Everything about it was charming and beautiful (except maybe that early June heat wave!). The reception at your parents home was just enchanting. We really loved everything about the day and were excited about the settings because it led to some beautiful picture opportunities. You guys are so easy to work with because you have such warm and welcoming hearts. We are both happy for you as you begin your lives together.

Here is your slideshow.

Yes, count them...20 children in this wedding! Who knew that could be so fun?? They were as they look: perfect little angels.

I told the guys to rough-up Tom a little bit. They may have gotten a little carried away.

Ivey's Bridal Portrait

I just wanted to post a few pics from a beautiful bridal session that Jessica and I photographed together at Lookout Presbyterian Church. We did this the week of Ivey's wedding and since it was at the same location as the wedding, I thought I would post these because they flow so well with the following post of the actual wedding!

*Note: Jessica didn't get to help me and Keith with the wedding, but did such a good job with this, even though she is just starting out!
