I am posting this on my way out of town for Christmas. So to all of the families Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. To Chris and Kelly: Thanks so much for allowing us to be your photographers. You guys are terrific and we loved your wedding and reception.
Here are some of our favorites. I will have Terry say more later on. God Bless!
So we tried to go outside on this blustery day and only lasted for a couple of shots. Kelly and Chris were willing but as soon as we walked outside, the wind picked up.
I love this close-up. Kelly is gorgeous as you can see.
And then there was this incredible rainbow. The Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Soddy Daisy is really beautiful and picturesque.
The reception was at Camp Dixie on Lake Chickamauga so be sure and check out the slideshow to see some of the dramatic clouds. It was a great day. We especially enjoyed the Oz and Jaynes Acoustic Band. They are incredibly talented. Lee Towery Catering is among the best in the city and Kelly and Chris' guests were treated to some real taste delights. Carrie Brisendine was an excellent wedding director and Jeff Dendy's flowers were beautiful. Good job everyone!

Whitney & Nathan Lewis, Colson, 7 Months Old, Children Photography by Liz Power Photography
Look at this good lookin' boy. This was so much fun to see how big Colson is and to see his mom and dad.
Is he a daddy's boy? I loved this picture in both color and black and white.

Darria Long and Bryce Gillespie, Engagement Photography by Liz Power Photography, The Engagement Party
Dr. Gillespie and Dr. Long, shown here at Darria's home, just a few days after we photographed the engagement session.
Here is Darria with her mom, Saphura.
The happy couple with Bryce's parents.
The Long family.
No doubt the lovely setting along with the warm, congenial and welcoming hosts provided a special time of celebrating the engagement. Best wishes to all and God Bless.

Kyle Smith, CCS Senior 2009, Senior High School Photography by Liz Power Photography
Kyle was willing to brave a rainy Saturday and, after some studio time, we headed for downtown. I had recently photographed an engagement session across from the Tivoli and knew we would have some shelter from the rain.
Kim, Kyle's mom, was hoping for some Fall color. We were pleasantly surprised that the downtown trees were holding their leaves.
Bill and Kim Smith have a terrific family and we've known them for a long time. They have every reason to be proud of Kyle. He is a sharp young man and we pray God's best for him.

Hayley Davidson and Brandon Cranford, Wedding Photography by Liz Power Photography, Wedding at Patten Chapel and Reception at Memorial Baptist
We often ask the bride and groom on their wedding day if the time passed quickly between the proposal and the ceremony. You can guess that nine times out of ten - no, ten times out of ten they say "it's crazy how quickly the day got here!"
Well, if you'll remember from the engagement session, Hayley is our neighbor and we absolutely love her and her family. This was such a joy and privilege for us to be the photographers and it was a wonderful day.
Patten Chapel is a hometown favorite especially for brides or grooms who attended and graduated from UTC.
This is one of my favorite settings. I love the silhouette.
The beautiful Hayley and her handsome groom, Brandon.
November weather in Chattanooga can be "iffy" but it was a gorgeous day. I love the way Hayley's image fills the frame.
And then there was this amazing 1961 Chevy Impala. Great wheels.
Hayley, an accomplished musician herself, had her friends from Adonia String Trio provide the wedding and reception music and they were terrific. The reception food was exceptional and handled by Betty Hubbs of The Catering Company. Job well done.
Congratulations to everyone and God Bless!

Ashley Estes and Breezy Brezina, Engagement Photography by Liz Power Photography, November 29, 2008
We met these two at Ashley's parents' farm near Wildwood, GA. The property was amazing and our first location was near the creek where Confederate troops camped prior to the battle of Chickamauga.
"Breezy" and Ashley were great and we just had a lot of fun together. As we moved from location to location we had a chance to get to know them and vice versa. We did laugh a lot.
I couldn't resist taking several pictures of this incredible, old bridge.
Congratulations, guys, and we're looking forward to the wedding.

Dhanani Family, Family Photography by Liz Power Photography, Heritage Park November 28, 2008
Terry and I had the pleasure of meeting the Dhanani family and to do a family portrait session at Heritage Park in East Brainerd. This family is from Louisiana, Texas, Illinois and Tennessee so it had been almost ten years since they were able to do a family portrait. You'll notice they have a precious little girl to charm everyone.
Possible Christmas card?

Rena Carolyn & Rob, Engagement Photography by Liz Power Photograpy, Becca and Keith Rocha, Photographers
Rena Carolyn was a bridesmaid in Ivey & Tom's wedding, so when Rob asked her to marry him, she immediately called us to be her photographers. And we are so glad that she did! Rena Carolyn and Rob are one precious couple and are so easy to work with. We had a great time braving the cold to get out to do pictures before all the fall colors faded. As you can see, we got them at just the right time. The colors are all so vibrant.
Congratulations Rena and Rob!
Here is your slideshow.

Melissa and Don Pittman, Wedding Photography by Liz Power Photography, Gordon Lee Mansion, Chickamauga, GA
It seems like the days flew by between the engagement pictures and the wedding. Melissa and Don, as previously noted, are so fun to be around. It was truly a great day and happy celebration.
Don's little girl, Madeline, appears in a lot the pictures. What a cutie!
I love this picture of Madeline and John, the Ring bearer.
And here's Madeline again. It was hard for us to resist taking pictures of her.
The rings, such a powerful symbol of commitment.
Congratulations to everyone and God Bless!
Please click here for the slideshow.
As always, we love going to the Gordon Lee Mansion. Our friends there, Richard Barclift and Kathy Phillips, do such an excellent job with the set-up and catering. We just love working with them. Also a special note of the beautiful flowers from Chickamauga Florist, Jennifer Crawford.
